Our girls football team were up against some tough opposition at the ESFA area competition at Bucklers Mead. Amazingly we managed to miss the rain entirely and the sun even came out for a while!!

With players taking on new positions and some playing for the first time, they all worked incredibly hard and performed brilliantly. 

Group game scores were as follows:

V Martock – Drew 1-1

V Holy Trinity – Lost 4-0

V St Barts – Lost 3-0

The girls had to play a competitive final match against East Coker to claim 7th overall place in the tournament, scoring 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of extra time!!  If only they’d turned their scoring on earlier!!!

A super afternoon enjoyed by all and the girls seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves!
