Sam from Wessex Water visited Year 4 for a water workshop.

We learnt about the different states of water – solid ice, liquid water and gas water vapour, and how water can change between the different states. We also learnt about the water cycle and how we are drinking the same water as the dinosaurs.

There are lots of ways we can save water in our homes, such as not leaving the tap running whilst we clean our teeth and by taking shorter showers. We worked out how much water could be lost over the course of a year from a dripping tap – it was a lot!
