Year 1 had a wonderful morning at the Library on Thursday.  We had a tour of the library, completed a book character treasure hunt and explored lots of beautiful books. A fantastic treat for us all on World Book Day!

Year 2 had a fabulous visit to Carymoor and a few days later we were lucky enough to have Gary from Carymoor visit the school to give a whole school assembly 'Talking Rubbish' and then workshops to our Year 3 and 4s on wasting less and recycling more. 

Year 5 were treated to an immersive Space experience on Monday when they were visited by Jo from Space Detectives. Children from Years 5 & 6 took part in the local athletics competition at Westfield, where they participated in running, jumping and throwing events. It was a great competition, and they all performed brilliantly! Well done Oaklands...
