Year 5 Visit to The Newt Roman Villa
Year 5 spent the day exploring the Roman Villa at The Newt in Somerset. This immersive experience allowed the children to imagine what life would have been like living in Roman times. As well as the Villa, the children took part in weaving, mosaic making, repairing old pots and they explored artefacts that would have been used at the time.
In the museum, they saw the ruins from the original villa that had been excavated and they took part in a party organising activity.
We finished our visit with an Autumnal walk through the deer park and enjoyed our lunch before returning back to school.
