What a fantastic start to half term Year 1 have had! We have immersed ourselves in all things Autumn in line with our science and geography topics. Last week we enjoyed an Autumn welly walk around beautiful Nine Springs. We collected lots of autumn treasures to bring back into school and observed the changes in the environment. We also took some time to listen to the sounds all around and watch the falling leaves. This led to some lovely poetry writing in English.
We then had a very busy day back in school on Autumn day. We visited forest school, worked with clay, printed with leaves, made bird feeders, created leaf collages and did some autumn measuring. It was such a fantastic day and the children had so much fun exploring all things Autumn
